We support the England Squash 'Squash Stars' programme. Squash Stars is a great way for primary school aged children to experience this fantastic sport for the first time. By signing up, your child will receive their exclusive Karakal racket, ball and safety goggles, plus a squash stars edition of our county team t-shirt!
Not only will they have all the equipment they need to get on court but the package also includes
4 introductory group lessons at your local club!
All this for only £39.50 Sign up HERE.
Alternatively you can just arrange to come along for a free try out and see how they get on. We provide the equipment. If they like it and want to keep going we can sign your kids up as a member of the group and we can advise on the cheapest options for personal kit if you need it. We have loan kit as well. Squash is one of the cheapest sports to play and we subsidise kids squash at Fair Oak to support this important grass roots activity and help local kids develop.

Saturday Group and Midweek Coaching
Fair Oak Juniors is more than just a Squash and Racketball section within our club. We provide activities and coaching from children aged 4 years old up to 19 years old, from complete beginners (some who can't hit a ball) to national champions! ALL children are made welcome. All our sessions have a balance between 'fun' and 'development'. Including a variety of skills, and games, with safety paramount at all times. Our aim is to provide children for a healthy sport for life.
If you want to get your child started at squash, contact Neil Piper at fairoakjuniorsquash@gmail.com to discuss which session would be most appropriate.

We currently have 2 types of junior membership available for children from 4+ years to 18 years old.
▪ Full Junior Membership – for the cost see “Join Up” page for most recent price per year - which includes access to courts all week (off peak) and ALL junior activities (33% discount for 2nd /Additional child)
▪ Family Membership - juniors have full access to courts and activities as in Full Junior membership. Cost as per the appropriate group rate.
Please note that Junior members under 14 years old must be accompanied by an appropriate adult whilst on the premises. Those 14 years and over can book and use courts themselves but parents must be aware that they are using the club and are still responsible for them. Consequently, Juniors are not allowed to invite guests to the club as part of their membership.
Juniors must always wear goggles when on court. Link to England Squash HERE and Hampshire Squash HERE.
Clean, non-marking trainers are also a prerequisite of using the courts.
Our young guests who visit us on a Saturday are allowed six visits before they must take up Junior membership, to align with club rules.
The majority of our juniors come along because they just enjoy playing squash, from complete beginners to more committed players. We also cater and coach numerous players at County standard, some of which have moved onto 'Regional' Standard, and we currently or recently have 3 national junior champions! Link to England Squash HERE and Hampshire Squash HERE.
Our coaches range from level 1 to level 3 coaches - all qualified, DBS checked, and some first aid trained. We also have some parent helpers (mostly adult team players) who come along and help extend our 'elite' group, and provide opportunities for children aged 14 or over to help (part of their DofE award). Coaches are sometimes available for private coaching. More info can be found on our 'coaches page'.
We always parents to be involved and stay and watch, meet other parents and just relax and have a coffee!
